About
Almco is Amwaj's EPC and construction arm. Operating continuously since 2004, it has delivered construction projects across Iraq for international oil companies, oilfield-services groups, EPC and engineering contractors, and government and multilateral institutions.
The company operates two integrated divisions — Almco Construction (EPC, civil, infrastructure, accommodation, industrial) and Almco Life Support. Almco owns its equipment fleet, machinery, warehousing, and sourcing infrastructure — a rare vertical integration in the Iraqi market.
Al Iraq Al Moaser Company (ALMCO) for General Contracts and Cement Production was established on 24 March 2004 with an authorised capital of 7 billion IQD. Since inception it has completed 301 construction projects with a value of US$1.63 billion for 112 military and oil & gas clients; in 2022 the group exceeded US$1.5 billion in construction projects.
